For the sixth time the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM hosted the world’s largest conference on the subject of the environment in electronics. Due to the covid-19 pandemic the conference took place as an hybrid event. Most of the speakers were incorporated into the live show via a remote guest solution. For the moderation a small studio was set up on site the Fraunhofer IZM.
The keynote speakers of the event were Sarah Chandler, Apple’s senior director of Operations Product Development and Environmental Initiatives, and Eelco Smit, Senior Director Sustainability at Philips. Martin Schneider-Ramelow, as the conference chair, and Nils F. Nissen, as the technical chair, hosted and moderated the event.
